The Phuket News

Last Friday saw the start of a new commission i'm working on for the Phuket News; A weekly colouring contest open to the children of Phuket. I was honoured to be asked to be part of such a fun project and entries are now rolling in! I will be announcing the weekly winners on twitter so do follow!

The Phuket Colouring Competition

This week i'm delighted to say I have a new illustration commission out here in Phuket.
With thanks to my lovely neighbour and editor of the Phuket News, I'll be providing an illustration a week for kids to colour in and I'll be judging and featuring the best entries!

I'm really excited about this new opportunity as ever since I got here I've felt totally inspired by this place! First up for the kids to colour in is a dog. There are so many around Phuket and their little characters may just be my new obsession!

Today for this weeks Illustration Friday's topic "Twirl"....A little ballerina!

I.F. Prepare

It took me a while to think of an idea this week. Then in the middle of the night it came to me. "Cabin crew, prepare for landing". Drawing the inside of a plane was quite a challenge and not something I've done before so it took me a little longer than usual. Am quite pleased with the outcome though and enjoyed working on the different animal characters.

Tigerprint Competition- What is love?

Last week I  managed to enter the latest "What is love" Tigerprint competition. In the nick of time (I stayed up a little late friday night!) and here are my designs. I shall be entering more of these though. Much fun!

Teapots!

Do you know it's been rather a long time since I had a proper cup of tea in a teapot with biscuits! Here's what's on my mind today.

A little bit of paint!

My husband just made a bed frame out of these lovely planks and I thought I would recycle the scraps! I love to paint on bare wood. This time I added some little photos (my husband and other love, dogs!) Quite different to my digital illustration but thought I would share!
